Beginning African-Caribbean Dance for Seniors (4 Class Package)

Activate body and spirit with energetic movement based in African-Caribbean social dance cultures!

Each class will consist of a gentle full-body warmup, basic rhythms and steps, group choreography, and modifications for different abilities. This upbeat, beginner-friendly class welcomes dancers ages 60+, of all ethnicities, genders, and cultural backgrounds. 

(If you are unable to attend all 4 classes, you can register for individual drop in classes.)

Have you ever wanted to try Broadway-style performing? Do you have an inner musical theatre kid yearning to come out and play? Then join this workshop to learn a group dance number from a classic show!

Each class will consist of a full-body warmup, locomotor skills practice, simple staging and choreography, and modifications for different abilities. This fun, beginner-friendly class welcomes dancers ages 60+, of all ethnicities, genders, and cultural backgrounds.

Zentangle Basics (4 Class Package)

Zentangle® is a method of drawing which promotes creativity, mindfulness, and relaxation. It uses simple patterns to fill areas of space. It is non-representational and unplanned.

The method is easy-to-learn and suitable for beginners. It can be used to reduce stress and anxiety. The process is self-soothing, simple, and encourages the practice of adapting to the unexpected.

This workshop series will introduce the student to the philosophies and techniques of the Zentangle Method. It is offered in four 90-minute sessions:

1. Intro to Zentangle 

2. Botanical Tangles 

3. Border Tangles

4. Fragments & Reticula

(If you are unable to attend all 4 classes, you can register for individual drop in classes.)

Red Nose Clown for Seniors (6 Class Package)

This six-week class invites seniors to explore creativity, laughter, and connection through the art of clown. The class will focus on ensemble building, gentle physical exploration, and discovering each participant’s unique clown persona. Together we’ll practice listening, reacting in the moment, and celebrating mistakes as opportunities for humor and discovery.

No acting experience is required—just a willingness to play and try something new. Designed to be supportive, inclusive, and fun, this class offers an opportunity to laugh, connect with others, and rediscover the delight of play at any age.
