Where do stories begin? How do characters come to life? What makes dialogue work? And how does a playwright shape all of these elements into a compelling scene?

In this hands-on playwriting class, participants will explore the playwright's craft and responsibility while experimenting with storytelling, character, dialogue, plot, and structure. Each participant will write an original three-page scene and/or monologue, with the opportunity to hear their work performed as a reading in class.
